Bryan Stoltzfus and Collin Keesling represented the cross country team at the Logansport Regional this past Saturday.
Both boys had realistic aspirations of advancing to the semi-state, but it was not meant to be.
Bryan finished 37th with a time of 18:18, as he finished two spots out of advancing. Collin struggled the last half of the race with a calf cramp that would not subside and he finished 56th with a time of 18:54 to end his season.
While both boys were disappointed to end their season in this style, they both know they have come a long way since last season. This was only their second year running cross country and they both made big improvement throughout the season. Both boys have kept their training routine going since their track season ended last March 13th and it showed throughout our season. I am proud of both of them for working extremely hard the last seven months and keeping their goals in front of them.
While their cross country season has ended, we look forward to our winter work, so they will be in the best possible position once track begins in the spring.
Thank you for supporting these two boys and our team this season. We are looking forward to the next phase of improvement for the boys cross country team.
