The Lady Kats cross country team placed 10th with 226 points in the IHSAA Sectional meet at Logansport on Saturday.

Junior Julynne Spidell got second place individually, and was the only Lady Kat to advance to the regional meet this coming
Saturday at Logansport.

Spidell got second place in a time of 19:36. This was a great way for Julynne to start off the IHSAA tournament, and I know she is focused on making a deep run in the tournament. I know this was not how she envisioned the race, but she will have a hard week of practice and will hopefully be able to place in the top three of our regional.

The season is over for the remainder of the team, but we had a season of building and improvement. We need these girls to make a commitment to conditioning over the winter and summer to have success as a team. We have a lot of smart, talented, and mentally tough girls who we would love to have running with us over the winter to get ready for track season.
