The Kats faced a tough day of competiti on on Saturday at the KH S Invite. Perennial powers Delta and West Lafayette came to town with West Side sneaking out a 3-2 decision over Delta to take the title.

We showed promise with solid play against West Lafayette and Delta on the day, but would lose both matches by the score of 5-0. The highlights would include three-set matches for Duncan and Lauderbaugh against Delta. Ty played phenomenal tennis fighting off several match points before falling by the score of 7-6, 1-6, 14-12. Taylor also battled in his 6-2, 2-6, 10-4 loss.

The JV would end up going 1-2 versus the competition also. The JV also swept Lebanon, but came up shy in very close matches against West Lafayette and the JV champion Delta. Winners on the day included Jayleb Walsh, Andrew Guerre, Kye Gamble, Lucas Cummings, Caleb Wallace, Griffin Hulet, Austin Ferraro, Drake Hester, Linkin Brock, Karson Parrott, Alan Dockemeyer, C.J. Washburn, Ari Leger, Eric Swain, and William Nelson.

The varsity moved to 9-5 on the season and the JV moved to 10-4.

Both teams will be back in action on Tuesday at home against Lafayette Jeff. If the Kats come out on top, this will secure the #2 seed from the West Division heading into the conference tournament. Come out and support the Kats!!!
