The Wildkats traveled to Hamilton Heights to take on the Huskies in non-conference action and played valiantly but fell short 4-0 in their efforts and suffered their fourth consecutive loss to open the season.
The Wildkats changed their defensive posture heading into this match and kept the game close well into the second half of play. After conceding a goal in the first 13 seconds of the match, the Wildkats frustrated the Husky attack and created a few good chances of their own.
In the second half, the Wildkats were undone by some creative and at times physical play which resulted in too many open looks in front of their own goal. The Huskies managed to put three more tallys past the Wildkats after the break to close out the scoring.
The men of the match are senior co-captain Bryan Stoltzfus, who shifted to a center back position, and sophomore co-captain Joey McConnell, who registered 11 saves on the day.
McConnell has registered 74 saves on the season.
The Wildkats (0-4-0, 0-1-0) host McCutcheon Tuesday night, September 8, for their second conference match of the season.
