Friday was a tough loss for the Kats. All of the scoring was done within the first two minutes of the game. Unfortunately, we could not convert on our extra point and that was the difference of the game. Marion won, 7-6.

Plez Lawrence led the way for the Kats on the ground again with 132 total yards on 18 carries. He also scored the lone Kokomo touchdown. Torian Smith added 56 total yards on 10 carries for the Kats.

Defensively the Kats played like the Wreck’n Crew and earned their helmet stickers this week. We held the Giants explosive rushing attack to a total of 94 yards on the ground and 89 total yards in the air. Myles Lenoir led the Wreck’n Crew with 10 total tackles and Tyreese Tucker added eight tackles, three for losses.

We were back to work on a lovely Labor Day and hoping to put a complete game together this week for Homecoming against McCutcheon. I am looking forward to seeing a great crowd at Walter Cross Field on Friday.
