The Koko mo Wildkats dropped their final home game of the season to South Bend Washington on Thursday, 63-59 to fall to 6-15 for the year.
After being tied at the end of the first quarter 10-10, the Kats played a miserable second quarter and dug themselves a big halftime whole, trailing by 16. At some point in the second half, the Kats played with energy and emotion and were able to fight back and make a game of it, unfortunately, too little, too late.
Leading the way was senior R.J. Oglesby with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Jackson Richards added 10 points, four rebounds, and a team high three assists. Sophomore Patrick Hardimon brought a ton of effort and energy off the bench and added 10 points and seven rebounds.
The Kats conclude their regular season tonight on the road against a very good Huntington North team. Their discipline, togetherness, and willingness to play a very specific style of disciplined basketball will challenge our discipline on both ends of the court. It will be a great test as we head to the tournament next week.
Sectional tickets are on sale in the Athletic Office at Kokomo High School for $6. Please contact the Athletic Office if you have anyquestions. Thanks for all your support!
