The Kats got off to a terrible start. We trailed 10-0 to start the game and continued to struggle throughout the first half, falling behind by as many as 15 points in the second quarter. Kokomo trailed 28-16 at the half.

The Kats picked themselves up at the half and came out to have a far more energetic
third quarter and were able to cut the Tigers lead to 36-31 at the end of the third. Kokomo continued to fight in the fourth quarter and made enough plays down the stretch to pull out 47-44 win.

Peru played very hard and in many ways deserved to win the game. But I am very proud of the boys for their fight to come back and win this game and make critical plays down the stretch to secure the victory!

Leading the way for Kokomo was senior Savion Barrett with 12 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Sophomore Bobby Wonnell added 12 points, two rebounds, and two steals. Junior Jackson Richards added nine points, while junior R.J. Oglesby added four points and a team high nine rebounds.
