The KHS girls' golfers got some good experience Saturday seeing how much the pressure increases at the regional level and how some of the girls are not in it for anything but winning. Coach Hemmerich and I appreciate the fact that our girls can make friends wherever they go and no matter what level they are competing, but being paired with a ranked Carmel team showed them that not all reciprocate or enjoy the game as much as we allow our girls to. Our regionals is a tough one with Carmel, Zionsville, Guerin Catholic, Westfield and Brownsburg, some of which in the high 200s and low 300s, but we didn't let it suppress the joy that we won sectionals and got some very good experience at the regional level. Having a junior and 4 sophomores on the regional team proves that our future is bright! We will be starting golf weight lifting workouts in a few weeks, so if any girl/boy is interested in joining us, come see me! Also having the year round memberships at the country club allows for playing anytime the weather allows! Thank you so much for supporting us during this year!!!!
