The Kokomo Wildkats visited non-conference foe McCutcheon and lost to the hosts in a one-sided affair Tuesday night. In a fast, technical game, the Mavericks struck first and then pressed their advantage in all phases of play and defeated the Wildkats by a final score of 8-0. The pace and defensive pressing of the Mavericks caused problems for the Kats from the start, and the Kats conceded six minutes into the match to go down 1-0. McCutcheon would score three more over the next 15 minutes to build a 4-0 halftime lead. After conceding two more goals to the hosts in the first ten minutes of the second half, the Kats created a few runs at the McCutcheon goal, but could not break through the Maverick defensive line. The Kats (2-6-1, 0-2-0) conceded twice more in the final ten minutes to conclude the scoring. The man of the match is senior midfielder Adrian Reyes. In the junior varsity match, the Wildkats (2-4-0, 1-1-0) struggled with marking, conceding three goals off of set pieces in the first half and falling by an identical 8-0 margin to the Mavericks. The man of the match is junior Linus Janssen who defended valliantly all night. The Wildkats will regroup before traveling to Lafayette Jeff Thursday evening to take on the Bronchos at Loeb Stadium. The junior varsity match kicks off at 5:30 pm, and the varsity match begins at approximately 7 pm.
