The Kokomo Lady Kats traveled to Richmond on Saturday morning for their third match of a demanding week, taking on the Lady Red Devils in a competitive matchup. Despite their best efforts, the Kats fell late in the second half when Richmond slipped through the middle for the deciding goal. Playing their third game in just a few days, the Lady Kats came out flat but showed grit and determination throughout the contest. Possession and connections proved difficult at times, yet the young and promising Kokomo squad continued to fight and grow together as they adapt to new positions and build confidence both individually and as a team. In the midfield, Euna Kim and Mattie Rayl battled hard, working to push the ball forward. Up top, Gisella Herrera and Patience Rowles worked tirelessly to challenge Richmond’s back line. On the defensive end, Izzy Riggs and Elaina Gibson anchored the back, holding strong under pressure. Once again, goalkeeper Aiyona Cox stood out with an outstanding performance. Cox made numerous key saves and used her powerful punts to relieve pressure and spark counterattacks, keeping the Lady Kats within reach throughout the game. Despite the narrow setback, the Lady Kats showed resilience and growth, setting the stage for another busy week ahead. Kokomo will host McCutcheon at home on Tuesday before traveling to Hamilton Heights on Thursday.
