Lady Kats Race at Logansport

The Kokomo girls’ cross-country team placed 10th overall at the Jacob Graf Invitational in Logansport on Saturday. Junior Alaina Thompson led the Lady Kats with a 19th-place finish in 22:04, while seniors Christina Durham and Morgan Rakestraw followed in 50th and 58th place. Seniors Gretchen Riggle and Claire Callane rounded out the scoring for Kokomo with sophomore Allaina Helmberger finishing as our 6th runner this week. The Kokomo girls’ JV team placed 4th overall at the Jacob Graf Invitational with 78 points. Senior Macy Rakestraw led the way with a strong runner-up finish in 25:48, while teammates Bethany Burns (16th), Teagan Dalton (17th), and Alice Cooper (20th) provided key support. Senior Madison Armstrong closed out the scoring in 23rd place to secure the Wildcats’ top-five finish. The Lady Kats showed strong depth and will look to build momentum as the season continues.
