The Wildkat golf team traveled to Chippendale Golf Course to play in the Howard/Tipton County Invitational. Even though the weather was perfect, the cards were stacked against the Kats as they had to face two teams that had already defeated them in dual matches. However, the Kats found away to capture the title and bring some hardware home. It was their first invitational win since 2021. The Kats shot 336 which tied Tipton, but the Kats prevailed when Canaan Horner's 5th score was lower than theirs. The Kats had very consistent play and were led by Ashtyn Goff's 80 and Mitchell McClelland's 81. They were followed Jack Verlee 87 and Nathan Lay and Canaan both had 88's. The Kats travel to Marion Monday to take on the Giants.
