Varsity vs Noblesville Big Third Inning Leads Noblesville Past Kokomo Varsity Wildkats Noblesville scored 11 runs in the third inning, which helped them defeat Kokomo Varsity Wildkats 16-0 on Thursday at Kokomo High School. Noblesville got on the board in the top of the first inning after Brookelyn Grayson singled to left field, Reese Newsom singled to center field, and Kokomo Varsity Wildkats committed an error, each scoring one run. A single by Izzy Zapp extended the Noblesville lead to 4-0 in the top of the second inning. Noblesville scored 11 runs on seven hits in the top of the third inning. Faye Hostetler singled, scoring one run, Nevaeh Nash drew a walk, scoring one run, Lucy Goad induced Delaney Rundle to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Grayson singled, scoring two runs, Allie Thompson singled, scoring three runs, an error scored one run, and Roslyn Ervin doubled, scoring two runs. Ervin earned the win for Noblesville. The starter surrendered one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking none. Goad took the loss for Kokomo Varsity Wildkats. The starting pitcher went three innings, surrendering 15 runs (10 earned) on 14 hits, striking out one and walking six. Lanaya Buckner went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Kokomo Varsity Wildkats in hitting.
