Varsity vs Frankfort (92 - 40) Win Tuesday night the Katfish hosted the Frankfort Hot Dogs in the last dual meet of the girls season. The Katfish had a strong showing, as they devoured the Hot Dogs 92 - 40. First place finishes include: Quadruple winners: Milla Hawkins (200 Medley Relay, 50 Free, 100 Free, 400 Free Relay), Aubrey Simmons (200 Medley Relay, 100 Fly, 100 Backstroke, 400 Free Relay), Morgan Rakestraw (200 Medley Relay, 200 IM, 100 Breaststroke, 400 Free Relay), Alyssa Frederick (200 Free, 500 Free, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay). Maddie Armstrong earned two wins as part of the 200 Medley Relay, and again in the 200 Free Relay, alongside Bethany Burns & Giyanna Thornton. We went out and raced, racking up 11/11 first place victories and going 1, 2 in several. I challenged the team to swim fast but have fun in the final meet of the regular season. I’m eager to see what this team can do in the next week leading up to sectionals. We've been training hard and really putting in the work all season - it’s about to pay off! Next up, this Katfish squad will travel to Carmel High School to compete in the toughest Girls Swimming Sectional in the state! Prelims: Thursday, February 6. | Finals: Saturday, February 8.
