The Kokomo Wildkats delivered a dominant performance Friday night, defeating McCutcheon 84-67 in an impressive display of teamwork and individual excellence. Senior standout Zion Bellamy spearheaded the Wildkats’ offensive attack, pouring in a game-high 30 points. His scoring versatility was on full display, as he attacked the rim with authority and showcased a reliable outside shot. Kokomo’s relentless pace and defensive pressure proved too much for the Mavericks, allowing the Wildkats to control the game from start to finish. Senior Max Feuerle was the epitome of a do-it-all player, filling the stat sheet with 10 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and five steals. His energy on both ends of the court set the tone for Kokomo, as he crashed the boards, created opportunities for teammates, and disrupted McCutcheon’s offense with his defensive tenacity. Kokomo’s balanced effort and unselfish play left little doubt about their capability as one of the area’s top teams, as they improved their early-season momentum in impressive fashion.
