Kats finish 8th amongst Indiana's Best

The Kokomo wrestling team competed in the highly competitive Harvest Classic today, facing off against some of Indiana’s top programs, including Portage, Hobart, Penn, Griffith, Perry Meridian, Hanover Central, and Lake Central. Out of a strong field of 16 teams, Kokomo battled to an 8th-place finish, showcasing their resilience and determination against elite competition. Several wrestlers delivered standout performances. David Conner and Jedaiah Beard led the way with impressive 3rd-place finishes, displaying exceptional skill and tenacity throughout the tournament. Gabe Newland and Brixton Morris also had strong showings, each earning 4th-place honors. Meanwhile, Christien Damewood, Joelle Nieto, and Devon Rush secured 7th-place finishes, and Derrick Ross added an 8th-place finish to round out the team’s efforts. The Kats are now shifting their focus to their next challenge—a matchup against Marion on Wednesday.
