The Kokomo Wildkats showcased a stellar team effort in a commanding 80-37 win over the Peru Tigers. Senior guard Zion Bellamy led the charge, dropping 18 points to set the tone for the Wildkats. Freshman DJ Nash had a breakout performance, recording his first career double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Junior Korbyn Hammel delivered a well-rounded game, contributing 15 points, six rebounds, and three assists. A’Dayveon Young added a spark, chipping in 11 points to round out the scoring leaders. On the defensive end, Kokomo was relentless, holding Peru to just 22% shooting from the field while forcing 16 turnovers. The Wildkats’ lockdown defense and efficient offense proved too much for the Tigers to handle, as Kokomo cruised to a decisive victory.
