Varsity vs Manchester Jr-Sr High School (87 - 69) Win Monday night our Lady Katfish traveled to Manchester to secure our first win of the season! After losing by 6 points to Manchester last season, our team came out and really competed. In addition to individual swims, we knew we’d need to win all three relays to ensure a victory and we did just that! Meet highlights include our first place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay (Morgan Rakestraw, Milla Hawkins, Aubrey Simmons, Bethany Burns), 200 Freestyle Relay (Maddie Armstrong, Maria Trevisi Capuci, Alyssa Frederick, Aubrey Simmons), and the 400 Freestyle Relay (Maddie Armstrong, Alyssa Frederick, Morgan Rakestraw, Milla Hawkins). Individually, top finishes include quadruple winners; Aubrey Simmons (100 Fly & 100 Breaststroke), Alyssa Frederick (200 Free & 500 Free), and triple winner Milla Hawkins (50 Free). Our girls are beginning to get in the swing of things again! We had some great races last night… Bethany Burns in the medley relay, Giyanna Thornton dropped 2 seconds in her 50 Free, Maria Trevisi Capuci was able to secure a third place finish in the 100 Breaststroke, and our 400 Free Relay came back to win first after trailing nearly 25 yards early.
