By Jacob Bough | Nov 24, 2024 4:37 PM

The Kokomo Lady Wildkat Wrestling Team wrestled this past Saturday at the 3rd Annual Clinton Prairie Invite. The Kats finished 7th out of 52 other schools there competing. The LadyKats were led by Junior Nevaeh Wilson finishing Runner Up in the 120lb weight class. Freshman Spencer Martin and Sophomore Makyila Rubush took home 3rd Place finishes, while Senior Aubreanna Fitts and Freshman Myla Duke finished 4th. Sophomore Kacey Ponder, Freshmen Merryroze Bowen and Sydney Sease all took 7th. The LadyKats are constantly getting better in the room but are still not transferring that knowledge to the competition mats. Getting 7th is a good feeling but it's still not reaching the full potential of this team. We have a couple of days to watch film and correct some small things before heading to Columbia City during Thanksgiving break. Wrestling is a constant struggle to get things perfect, but these ladies have just what it takes to finish strong in the post season. As always GO KATS GO!! Coach Bough 100lb Spencer Martin (4-2) placed 3rd. 105lb Merryroze Bowen (2-3) placed 7th 115lb Kacey Ponder (3-2) placed 7th 120lb Nevaeh Wilson (4-2) placed 2nd 125lb Makyila Rubush (5-1) placed 3rd 145lb Myla Duke (4-2) placed 4th 190lb Aubreanna Fitts (3-2) placed 4th HWT Sydney Sease (3-2) placed 7th
