The Lady Kats had a demanding win on Thursday night against a solid 2-1 Peru team 72-26. Kokomo came out in the first quarter with a ton of aggressiveness on defense to hold Peru to 0 points at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Kats had 25 points off the bench and shot 100% from the free throw line, which has been a big point of emphasis in the last week. Ma’Kaela Drake led all scorers with 21 points and 3 steals. Eliana Stewart added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks. Satyra Scott and Avi Pollard both contributed 9 points. Bella Richards had 8 points and 6 rebounds, along with Jhordyn Brown’s 8 points. Amara Stroman had a tremendous stat line with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Satyra Scott, Ma’Kaela Drake and Regan McClain played incredible defense on Peru’s best player all night and made a great impact on the game defensively.
