On Saturday the Wildkats raced in the Tipton Invitational and came away with the victory! This was a good meet for our runners to work on their racing strategy and all of them did a great job executing their plans. None of our runners set a PR due to hot conditions, as well several sharp turns they had to navigate, but they still won due to the execution of their racing strategy. We were led by Cooper Cage who placed runner up with a time of 16:40. Cooper went out with the lead pack and made some moves during the race to separate himself from two of the runners behind him, so he was comfortably in second place at the finish. Following Cooper was Connor Frederick(8th), Preston Arreol(9th), Ben Wallace(12th), Reece Wright(17th), Leo Serra(21st), & Gabe Newland(26th). I was very happy with how the guys raced and we will look to build off of this performance. Our next race is this Saturday as we head to Culver to race in the Culver Invitational.
