The Lady Kats secured a hard-fought 2-0 win against the Lady Berries in a match that showcased their best ball possession of the season. This was a complete team effort, defined by grit, determination, and patience, as the game remained tied until late in the second half. Layla Brehm led the team to victory, earning Player of the Game honors for her relentless effort throughout the match. She scored twice, once at the 16:53 mark and again at 8:27 in the second half, providing the offensive spark the team needed. Despite the physical play from Logansport, Brehm continued to create scoring opportunities and never backed down. Gisella Herrera and Iris Brehm controlled the midfield, bringing fierce energy and acting as key playmakers. Nancy Laughner and Lilian Taskey, returning from injury, contributed significantly on offense, helping the team maintain possession with their aggressive play. With many players forced to play the entire game due to injuries, the team’s perseverance was evident. Euna Kim, Jackie Cuatlacuatl, and Nevaeh Wilson made important contributions off the bench, keeping the momentum going. The entire team is proud of their ability to possess the ball, win 50/50 challenges, and remain composed under pressure. Up next, the Lady Kats are excited to celebrate their seniors in Saturday’s conference match against Anderson.
