The Wildkats hosted Anderson on Friday night and came out of the season with their first win of the year. The score was 49-12. We went for 351 total yards on offense and held Anderson to 75 total yards. Brixton Morris went for 156 yards on 19 carries and 3 touchdowns. Derrick Ross had 5 carries for 50 yards. Hagen Smith had a great first start and was 3-4 passing with 1 touchdown. Andrew Barker and JJ Gillespie both had a catch for 22 and 24 yards. JJ’s catch went for a TD. On defense David Conner lead us in tackles with and 2.5 for a loss. He also had a fumble recovery for a touchdown for our first defensive TD of the year. Buddy Love added a pick 6 for another defensive TD. Marcus Houston was 2nd on the team in tackles with 3. With our offensive line coming together (JJ, Ryan Gilliam, Karsen Huffman, Edgar Jones, Semaj May, Chance Duncan, and Andrew Barker) we hope to have more success in the coming weeks.
