In a heated matchup, the Lady Kats found themselves struggling early. Despite a strong showing from key players like Jimena Mier, Iris Brehm, Gisella Herrera, and Elaina Gibson, the Lady Kats couldn’t quite find their rhythm. The injury-plagued Lady Kats struggled to keep pace with the relentless transition play of the Lady Tigers. Jimena Mier displayed her usual poise, while Iris Brehm and Gisella Herrera brought confidence to the field, but their efforts weren’t enough to overcome the Lady Tigers' pressure. Kate Rivera, Destiny Forestal, Isa Boyance, and Euna Kim were once again called upon to adapt to new and multiple positions, a challenge they met with determination. The second half saw a resurgence from the Lady Kats, but unfortunately, their turnaround came just a little too late. Iris Brehm was the standout player of the game, showing exceptional grit and quick movements with the ball as she made plays up the field. She pushed hard until the final buzzer, embodying the fighting spirit of the team. Freshman defender Isabella Riggs also had a noteworthy performance, holding strong throughout the entire game and demonstrating impressive perseverance under pressure. While the result may not have been what the Lady Kats hoped for, their efforts, especially in the second half, showed promise and a determination that will undoubtedly serve them well in future games.
