The Wildkats opened their season at New Palestine on Friday night and got beat 35-14. Starting the year out against a tough opponent is always good for an inexperienced team. We showed our inexperience with 3 turnovers in the 2nd quarter and dug ourselves into a hole we were unable to climb out of. On offense our leading rushers were Brixton Morris with 71, Keemarion Pollard with 69, and Baris Moore with 47. Our offensive line did a great job handling a talented defensive line from New Pal and allowed us to hold the ball from the Dragons for over 32 minutes. Defensively we were led by Ben Carey and Brandon Humphries with 5 tackles. Marcus Houston had a tackle for a loss and a forced fumble. Eli Moore also added 1.5 tackles for a loss and a sack. We have our home opener this Friday against #4 Whiteland. It should be another great test for the Kats. Thanks for the support and hope to see you this week.
