The Lady Kats raced well last night at Northwestern and placed runner up out 10 teams, only finishing behind Maconaquah. The Kats got out and raced patiently and let the race come to them. They moved up spots during the race and were able to improve their position and team score. Junior Morgan Rakestraw led the way for the Kats as she set a PR with a time of 13:57. Morgan has had a great summer and this is a great start to her season. Freshman Alaina Thompson and juniors Gretchen Riggle, Christina Durham, & Claire Callane were next in for the varsity Kats, as Christina and Claire showed major improvement from this time last year. Overall I am happy with where we are starting from, but we also will keep working to get better. The Lady Kats next race on Saturday at Logansport High School in the Jacob Graf Invite.
