Varsity vs Lapel High School (7 - 5) Win Game 1 Varsity vs Lapel High School (15-14) Win Game 2 In Game 1, our Kats followed the lead of Isaac Flamino on the mound. Flamino pitched a complete game while striking out a career high 9 batters. Seniors Dalton Dixon and Eli Catron recorded a pair of doubles in the win while senior Jude Rivers swiped the only base of the day. Rivers and freshman, Eli Roe, led the team with hits in the first game, getting two a piece. Jude really had a day leading the team in RBI's and partnering with Chad Washburn on runs scored. It was nice to get the early morning win against the 9th ranked Lapel Bulldogs. In Game 2, our Kats kicked the ball around a bit on a windy day behind starter Dalton Dixon. Dixon lasted four innings only giving up 2 earned runs of the 10 runs given up. Dalton stayed in the game, but was relieved to prepare him for a start later in the week. Eli Catron and Myles Cunningham came in relief with Brighton Harris closing the game out and recording the win. Offensively, the Kats exploded with 16 hits scoring 15 runs. Dixon had an absolute beast day at the plate going 4 for 5, driving in 5 runs while scoring twice himself. Dalton legged out a triple on an absolute rocket. Jude Rivers also had a great second game going 3 for 4, driving in 3 runs and scoring an amazing 4 runs. Eli Roe and Isaac Flamino also had multi-hit games. JJ Gillespie chipped in for three RBI's as well. Defensively was tough with the wind and the dust. There were plenty of errors made on both sides of the ball; however, some great defensive plays by the Kats highlighted with Brighton Harris, Dalton Dixon, and Isaac Flamino allowed us to secure the victory.
