Varsity vs Western High School (6 - 3) Win Our Kats won a big game against Western last night! The game went into the night lasting a long 11 innings! Dalton Dixon was a horse on the mound once again lasting seven innings allowing three hits and two earned runs while walking one and striking out seven! David Conner and Logan Dockemeyer worked near perfect in relief four 4 innings. Offensively, we were able to string more than the scoreboard showed. Chad Washburn led the team with two hits and two stolen bases. Chad and Isaac Flamino both had two RBI's a piece. In the top of the 11th with two outs, the Kats got hot! Chad singled on a hard hit ball to center field, JJ Gillespie smashed a ball that gave Panthers left fielder Cal Berryman trouble. Gillespie landed safely on second with a double and Washburn scored on an error by Berryman. Dalton Dixon was intentionally walked before Isaac Flamino came to the plate with a hard hit ball scoring both courtesy runner Harry Blake and Dalton Dixon for insurance runs. Kats next outing is at Noblesville next Tuesday! Go Kats!
