Varsity vs Logansport (7 - 8) Loss Our Kats showed resiliency once again after falling back by five runs early in the game. The Kats were able to tie the game and hold the tie until Logansport hit a bloop single for a walk off in the bottom of the seventh. Isaac Flamino did a great job leading the team and controlling the game around some fielding errors and base running mishaps behind him. Flamino finished with 5IP, 8H, 2ER, 3BB, 6K's. Flamino continues to get in a groove and looked dominate with his back against the wall at times in the contest. Offensively we were able to piece together 10 hits from 5 players. JJ Gillespie, Dalton Dixon, and Ethan Merrell all had multi-hit games. Gillespie once again started the rally with his second home run of the year knocking in Logan Dockemeyer and Chad Washburn. Merrell added a double in the same inning. Later in the game Gillispie was fired up again hitting a ground rule double hopping the fence to score Dockemeyer to tie it up. Late in the game we were able to move some things around, but could not edge a runner across. Seth Carpenter came in with a tie ball game and did a good job. Unfortunately after a hit batter to start the seventh, Logansport was able to maneuver to get the winning run across the plate. Our next game is tonight at Municipal versus Logansport.
