Varsity vs Mississinewa High School (10 - 7) Win Isaac Flamino took the mound on the season opener for the Kats, he went a strong 3.1 innings while striking out 4 to get the win. Jude Rivers sparked things up twice with a triple in the first inning and another bases loaded triple in the fifth inning. Jude finished the day with five rbi's and two runs for a stellar performance! It didnt take Freshman Ethan Merrell long to get his first high school hit at the plate. With a 3-2 count in the bottom of the fifth, Merrell had a hard hit line drive to left field for a single. Brighton Harris got the call in the seventh inning up by three with the bases loaded and was a bulldog pitching two outs to get the save on two quick pop ups.
