Boys (129 - 51) Loss Thursday night the Katfish hosted the Oak Hill Golden Eagles for our last home meet of the season and senior night. The Katfish had five seniors on the roster this season: Talon Hawkins, Brileigh Quillen-Popejoy, Allie Cothern, Ellie Geiselman, and Hannah Johnson. Unfortunately, the Katfish competed against a very strong Oak Hill team and lost (129 - 51). First place finishes include: Double winner Talon Hawkins in the 200 Free & 100 Free. This was our third swim meet in six days, so we were a bit fatigued going into the meet. However, that didn’t stop us from racing to the finish - we were simply out touched in the 100 Back (Jose Callvio) and 100 Breaststroke (Isaac Flamino), but we gave it our all. Big time shout out to those continuing to explore new races, pushing the limits with some great swims, and filling in when needed. Jesse Cummings made his varsity debut in the 50 Free and 100 Backstroke, Hayden Moore completed his first 500 Free, and Talon was able to win both of his individual events on senior night… even more special, Talon and his sister Milla both placed first in the 100 Free)!
