Girls (106 - 77) Loss Thursday night the Katfish hosted the Oak Hill Golden Eagles for our last home meet of the season and senior night. The Katfish had five seniors on the roster this season: Talon Hawkins, Brileigh Quillen-Popejoy, Allie Cothern, Ellie Geiselman, and Hannah Johnson. Unfortunately, the Katfish competed against a very strong Oak Hill team and lost (106 - 77). First place finishes include: Quadruple winners Milla Hawkins (200 Medley Relay, 100 Free, 100 Breaststroke, 400 Free Relay), Aubrey Simmons (200 Medley Relay, 500 Free, 100 Backstroke , 400 Free Relay); Triple winner Morgan Rakestraw (200 Medley Relay, 50 Free, 400 Free Relay); Double winner Maddie Armstrong (200 Medley Relay & 400 Free Relay); and Alyssa Frederick with a first place in the 200 Freestyle. This was our third swim meet in six days, so we were a bit fatigued going into the meet. However, that didn’t stop us from racing to the finish - we finished in first place in 2/3 relays and 6/11 swimming events. Big time shout out to those continuing to explore new races and pushing the limits with some great swims. Mikaia Buckner had a great race in the 200 IM, leaving everything she had in the pool! The Katfish are back at it again next Wednesday against West Lafayette/Harrison. Go Katfish! - Coach Whiteman
