On Saturday the Wildkats raced in the Logansport sectional and placed a heartbreaking 6th place just missing the top 5 that would have assured our team a spot in the regionals. We tied for 5th but lost on the 6th man tie-break. While we fell short I am proud of the boys for racing hard and doing what they could. We had different opportunities to pick up the one point we needed, but we just fell short. Even though the team did not make it we did have three runners advance to the regionals next weekend due to their placement. Juniors Reece Wright and Leo Serra will be racing in the regional for the third year in a row. Both boys ran well on Saturday and made the moves necessary to advance for a third time. Sophomore Monte Bunn also placed well enough and he will advance to the regional for the second year in a row. These three guys have had a good year and while they are disappointed the rest of the team can't join them, they are ready to race and bring that experience back to the team for next year. The guys will race at 11:15am on Saturday in the Brownsburg Regional. Go Kats! Coach Ousley
