Varsity vs Western High School (74 - 93) Loss Last night the Lady Katfish traveled to Western High School to take on the Panthers in our season debut. Unfortunately, the final score didn’t reflect the efforts our Katfish put into the pool as we fell 74-93. Team highlights include two - first place relay finishes in the 200 Medley Relay and the 200 Freestyle Relay, both with the team of Milla Hawkins, Aubrey Simmons, Morgan Rakestraw, and Alyssa Frederick. Individually, quadruple winners included juniors Milla Hawkins (100 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke), Aubrey Simmons (100 Butterfly, 100 Backstroke), and freshman Alyssa Frederick (200 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle). We had some great races from our veteran swimmers and got a chance to see what our newcomers are capable of on race day. Several swimmers stepped up to the challenge and competed in events they may not typically swim - filling in to play your role in the program is all part of the team effort; I’m incredibly proud of our Katfish tonight.
