On Saturday the Lady Kats raced at Culver and overall did a solid job. Alaina Thompson was our first runner in as she placed 29th overall with a time of 20:30. While not her PR the goal of this race was to podium, which was top 30, in he race. She achieved that by racing against the top girls from northern Indiana who will more than likely be state qualifiers. Alaina has had a great regular season as she has raced against the best in Indiana week after week and has fared well in all of her races. The other Lady Kats had good days as well as Allaina Helmberger ran a season best time of 26:16, while Naomi Black saw her first varsity action and wasn't too far off her PR with a time of 27:47. Addison Wright had a great day in the JV race as she set a big PR with a time of 32:25, which is a two minute PR from two weeks ago. We now turn our attention to the NCC Championship this upcoming Saturday at IWU. We raced there two weeks ago, so the kids are familiar with the course.
