The Kokomo Wildkats visited the Harrison Raiders and were defeated by the hosts by a score of 5-2, but the game was a tale of two halves. The Wildkats struggled in the 1st half to solve the Raiders pressure and did not create many chances in the attack. The Kats conceded four first half goals. Even though senior goalkeeper Ethan Landrum made several very good saves, the pressure of the Raiders and their possession thwarted the Kats. In the second half, Kokomo adjusted their shape, came out with a more positive mindset, and were able to get two goals back and close the gap to 4-2. Junior Kingston Johnson and senior Nathan Lay notched one goal apiece. Playing a stalwart role in midfield, senior Simone Bacchiani showed real grit and passion and energy. In defense, senior Lucas Araujo Borges and sophomore Rodrigo Mena Camino rose to the challenge. These are your men of the match. In the junior varsity match, the Wildkats suffered only their second defeat of the season, dropping the result to the Harrison Raiders by a score of 3-0. Down 3-0 at half, the Kats shut out the Raiders in the second half. Freshman goalkeeper Ryan Elkins made several really good saves. The team competed really well and played with a lot of energy in the second half. 
It's been a difficult and challenging stretch with back-to-back games. Both teams have the next few days to regroup and recover before they host Lebanon on Saturday.
