The Lady Kats delivered a masterclass in teamwork and offensive firepower on Saturday morning, putting together a complete 80-minute performance to hand the Anderson Indians a decisive 7-0 shutout victory in conference play. The Lady Kats wasted no time taking control of the match, striking early and establishing heavy possession from the opening whistle. Just two minutes in, Gisella Herrera opened the scoring with 38 minutes left in the half to put the Kats on the board. Five minutes later, Anna De Fazio doubled the lead, finishing off a slick setup from Kate Rivera. The opening period belonged to Herrera, who found the back of the net twice more before halftime to lock in a rapid first-half hat trick. Fueled by relentless ball movement and shots from across the roster, the Kats went into the break commanding a 4-0 lead. The second half brought more of the same high-tempo pressure, as the Lady Kats used crisp passing and sharp combination plays to keep Anderson on their heels. The offensive wealth was spread around in the second half, with goals from Elaina Gibson, Khejana Thomas, and Izzy Riggs putting the game out of reach. The highlight of the Kats' selfless play came from midfielder Mattie Rayl, who put on a playmaking display with 4 assists on the morning, while Ashley Corrales also added a key assist to cap off a true team effort on both ends of the field.
