We were able to play a second 18 hole tournament! Our last one was August 5 and the one we host, so we were happy to be able to get another in! We played in the Rochester Invite at Round Barn and there were 18 teams in attendance! I am very proud of the girls. Jocelyn was playing 18 for the first time as a high school varsity player. Round Barn is an extremely difficult course with lots of trouble (elevated greens, large, deep ravines, heather, and wastelands and i believe the girls fared very well for not getting much golf in this year. We placed 8th out of 18 teams and I am very proud of them for that. Last year we shot a 418, so we are 10 strokes better than last year! Last year in sectional, we shot a 390, so we are looking to get to that level again by the end of the season. Each girl talked through where they could have gained a few strokes and the change they would have made with course management to improve their scores. We are at Chippendale Monday against Western, Home on Wednesday against northwestern, and on Saturday playing on the newly appointed state course (Battleground) in the Bronco Invite.
