Last Friday night the Kats took the long bus ride over to Richmond to square off with the Red Devils. Richmond is a much improved squad from last season, but the Kats had to much fire power to be stopped. We finished the night with around 300 yards of rushing offense and around 50 yards passing for 350 total. We had 5 running backs all average 7 yards a carry on Friday night. Offensively we were led by Tracy Dowling who had 10 carries for 78 yards. He also added a touchdown. Reis Beard, Darrian Story Jr., and Keemarion Pollard added our other scores. Our special teams executed really well. Our kick off team averaged over 43 yards per kick and our punt team was over 35. Defensively we were led by Brixton Morris again who had 8 stops and a fumble recovery. We added 6 tackled for a loss as a team and 3 sacks. This was the first game we did not create multiple turnovers against our opponent and we lost the turnover battle. Friday night is senior night and Lafayette Jeff is coming to town. We hope to see a packed house and appreciate the support we have had all season long. Go Kats!
