The Lady Kats raced in the Taylor University Invite on Saturday and while we were short handed they Kats competed well! We were led by junior Alaina Thompson who continued her strong start to the season in placing 16th place with a PR time of 20:31. This was a race full of good competitors, so for Alaina to be a top 20 finisher is a good sign for her , as she continues to work on her goals for this season. Following her was junior teammate Izzy Riggs who raced extremely well in just her 2nd 5k cross country as she raced to a PR time of 23:03. This is over a 90 second drop from last week. Izzy is starting to understand how to race and compete, which will pay off for her as the season progresses. We head next to Brownsburg as we race on our regional course against some of the best in the state next Saturday. Go Kats! Coach Ousley
