The Wildkats raced in the Taylor University Invite on Saturday and placed 8th out of 16 teams. The Kats continue to execute running as a pack and it is paying off as our top 5 guys saw improvements from a week ago. Reece Wright was first in for the Kats running a 18:21 while teammate Leo Serra was behind him running a time of 18:36. Both boys dropped significant time from last week and are well on their way to having a good season. After them Monte Bunn(18:39), Owen Downing(18:42), & Joelle Nieto(18:59) all came in. These were PR times for all 3 guys and the first time under 19 for Owen and Joelle. Monte continues to have a strong start to the season, as he has shown much growth from his freshman year last season. Arthur Leodido, Tanner Workman, & Hutch Munsey all did well giving us 7-8 guys who can contribute to our varsity team. We have had a solid start to the season, but now our schedule ramps up in September staring with the Brownsburg Invite this upcoming Saturday at our regional course. This will be a race full of top teams and runners in the state and it will be good to see how we do against top competition. Go Kats! Coach Ousley
