Carroll had 7 seniors and will be highly ranked, and we had a chance to take #1 doubles for the match. Battled back from behind, and even had a few match points. We did a lot well today, but need to work at volleys at the net. Both singles and doubles played great today and it would have been a great win for our program. We communicated well in doubles and got to play through adversity a lot. Can't ask for anything else with a match this early in the season. I was really proud that after that first loss, we bounced back, and played really well vs Leo. This group is going to get better and better and it's great to have this many experienced juniors and seniors. Micah wasn't feeling great but really battled. Mateus played really good tennis all day. Great comeback for him, thaty first match. Mitch was awesome last year, but has improved even more this year. He hasn't dropped a set all year. Joe and Austin were so close to winning both today. They played just an outstanding match, and will get better as tehy year goes. Oliver and Carter are gelling together well, and will be a strong point for us too.
