The Kokomo Wildkats visited Maconaquah Tuesday night and dropped a close match to the Braves by a score of 1-0. The Braves pressed the Kats early in the match, pinning them in their own half and ultimately scored what would be the game winner in the 9th minute. The Wildkats held the Panthers to 13 shots on goal for the game, and Senior captain and goalkeeper Ethan Landrum recorded 12 saves. The Wildkats grew into the game and shifted their tactical setup throughout, but the Braves defense proved to be up to the challenge. The Kats managed only six shots on frame in the match. With 12 saves on the night, senior keeper Ethan Landrum is your man of the match. The Wildkats (0-2-0, 0-0-0) will have to reflect, grow, and rebound quickly as they host county rival Northwestern Thursday and visit Muncie Central to open conference play Saturday.
