Friday night the Anderson Indians visited Walter Cross Field for the Wildkats homecoming game. The Kats bounced back from a road loss with a 52-14 victory over the Indians. The defense played a great game forcing 8 turnovers and scored on 3 of them. We limited the Indians to 2 yards rushing on 14 attempts. This is the second time this year we have held a team to under 5 yards rushing for the game. Offensively, we were led by Keemarion Pollard with 90 yards rushing and a touchdown. Rondell Greene added another 72 yards and 3 touchdowns. Logan Dockemeyer finally got his shot to run the ball and had 5 carries for 40 yards. Brandon Humphries earned his first start under center and did a great job managing the offense limiting mistakes made to help our team win. The offensive line continues to improve and play tenacious clearing the way for our 6th game in a row with over 200 yards rushing. Defensively, we were led by Eli Moore who had 5 tackles and 1 for a loss. We had 5 for a loss as a team. We had 5 interceptions: 1 by Brixton Morris, Keemarion Pollard, Rondell Greene, Ben Carey, and Marcus Houston. We tied a school record for 5 interceptions in a game. We had a great crowd for homecoming and appreciate the continued support. We hope to see a few fans down at Richmond and can't wait to be back home again for week 9. Go Kats!
