The Kokomo Wildkats traveled to non-conference foe Fishers and lost to the hosts by a score of 7-0. The Tigers pressed the Kats early and often, notching their first goal of the match in the 12th minute of play. The Tigers scored again three minutes later on a penalty kick to build a 2-0 lead. The Kats responded by holding the hosts for 15 minutes until the third goal was scored, and the Kats gave up a PK with 12 seconds to play which the Tigers converted for a 4-0 halftime lead. After the break, the Wildkats battled back and found some momentum, possession, and opportunities, none closer than junior Lorenzo Del Bo’s shot off the post in the 8th minute of play of the second half, but the Kats could get no closer to breaking the Tiger defense. The Tigers notched three second half goals to secure the win. The JV match ended in defeat as well for the Kats, as Fishers scored 10 goals in a shutout victory. The Wildkats (5-9-0, 3-4-0) travel to Westfield on Thursday for the final match of the regular season.
