Kats race at Culver

By Jordan Ousley | Sep 24, 2023 11:35 AM

The Kats raced at Culver Academies on Saturday and placed 22nd in the big school race. The Kats were without our number 3 & 5 runners, which had an effect on final positioning, but the guys we had raced well on a tough course. While flat the course has numerous turns that slowed down the field some, but overall our guys did a nice job. Cooper Cage raced to a 17:14 to lead the Kats with a 55th place finish. Cooper went out faster than normal but did a nice job in maintaining his position throughout. Other standout runners were Gabe Newland and Braxton Frederick who both rebounded from a tough week last week to get back to their normal times this week. The Kats have wrapped up our regular season and will turn their focus to the NCC meet this upcoming Saturday. We will be running over in Lafayette at the Tippecanoe Amphitheater. We ran there a few weeks ago and are ready to go back and try to improve our times from earlier. Go Kats!! Coach Ousley
