The Kokomo Wildkats hosted non-conference foe Carroll and lost to the visitors by a score of 3-2. The Kats controlled possession early, but could not finish their chance until junior Javier Carrera picked up a loose ball at the top of box and fired a shot into the upper right corner with thirteen minutes to play in the first half. The Cougars responded three minutes later by scoring a header off of a free kick to knot the game at 1-1. With less than a minute to play in the first half, the Cougars free kick from nearly 50 yards out slid in just under the crossbar to give the Cougars a 2-1 halftime lead. After the break, the Wildkats battled back to tie the game at 2-2 when junior Javier Carrera won the ball at midfield and raced past three Cougar defenders before finishing the goal to tie things up at 2-2. The Kats controlled possession and shots in the second half, connecting twice as many passes and taking three times as many shots, but failed to get the go ahead goal. With just under four minutes left in the match, the Cougars earned a corner kick and scored off a shot from the right side of the penalty box to seal the win.
