The Wildkats hosted the Tipton/Howard Invitational at KCC on Saturday and came away with a third place showing out of 7 teams. The Kats came out of nowhere last season to take the crown at Chippendale, but the Western Panthers showed why they are the best in the county by beating the Kats and everyone else by at least ten strokes. The Kats placed three golfers in the top 10, however, with Ashtyn Goff coming in at 10th with an 84, Camden Whaley shot 83, and coming in at third overall was Mitchell McClelland at 77. The Kats played well despite windy conditions, and the top three scorers are all underclassmen, so the future looks good for the program. The Kats host the Marion Giants on Monday on Senior Night at KCC.
