The Unified Kats had a strong showing at the McCutcheon meet, finishing third overall as a team. It was a long night, with the meet lasting around three hours and the temperature dropping as the evening went on. Our athletes did a great job staying ready, competing hard, and supporting one another throughout the meet. We had several outstanding performances. Braedyn Booker placed first in long jump. Brooklyn Smith won her heat in the 100m, and Josh Smith won his heat in the 400m. The girls’ 4x100m relay team also finished first, and we are waiting on official times to see whether they improved on the record they set last week. Austin Jewell added another strong performance with a second-place finish in shot put. Official results are still being finalized, and we are waiting on confirmed times, distances, and team scoring before sending out a full rundown of the meet. Overall, it was a good night for the Unified Kats. The team pushed through the conditions, stayed focused, and continued to show growth. Proud of this group and the way they competed.
