The Lady Wildkats traveled to New Prairie to participate in the New Prairie Invite on Saturday. The Kats placed 23rd overall in their race. The girls raced well even though the times were overall a little slower than the last couple weeks due to the hills on the course. Morgan Rakestraw was first in for the Kats as she ran to a time of 26:05. Gretchen Riggle was next in with a time of 26:20, followed by Christina Durham & Claire Callane who ran times of 26:30 & 26:33 respectively. Claire only ran 4 seconds off her PR, which is great as her PR was on a flat course and this course was hillier. She is starting to put it together and I think she will continue to improve each week. Overall I am please with how our girls raced against top competition and they got better in this race. We race next on Saturday, September 23rd in the Culver Academies Invitational. Go Kats!!
